Drift Attack FAQ
Q: What is Drift Attack?
Drift Attack combines the freedom and accessibility of Drift Zones with the intensity and competitiveness of Horizon Drift. Drift Attack compliments the other Shared World features in the game – think of it as a Time Attack for drifters! Instead of setting the fastest lap times however, you’ll be aiming to score the highest number of drift points, whether you’re sliding sideways by yourself, as part of a Convoy or alongside other players who you’ve met in the Shared World.
Q: When will Drift Attack be available?
Drift Attack is coming to Forza Horizon 6 in our next series update that is set to release on September 7.
Q: Where is Drift Attack located on the map?
You will be able to find Drift Attack with its unique map icon at the Shimanoyama Circuit, which is being transformed into a permanent Drift Attack circuit. Just like in Time Attack, you can initiate a Drift Attack simply by driving through the designated gantry directly from the open world with no loading.
Q: How do I score points in Drift Attack?
Points are earned by drifting along the track in the same way they are in Horizon Drift and at Drift Zones. However, one key difference here is the addition of Clipping Zones, which are positioned around the drift circuit. These will boost any points that you earn if a drift is performed while the car is within the boundaries of the Clipping Zone.
Q: What rewards will be available to earn in Drift Attack?
Drift Attack will also be integrated into the Horizon Festival Campaign, where you can unlock a brand new fully customized Forza Edition car, ideal for drifting: the 1990 Jaguar XJS Forza Edition. A stock version of this car is also being added to the Autoshow for players to purchase.
Q: I'm a new player – when is Drift Attack unlocked in the game?
Drift Attack is unlocked by obtaining the Yellow Wristband at the Horizon Festival.
Q: Does Drift Attack feature in-game Leaderboards?
Drift Attack will have the full functionality of in-world and Convoy Leaderboards with the addition of Drivetrains against each Drift Attack leaderboard entry in the menu leaderboard options.
Q: Is Drift Attack a free update to all players or do I need to have Premium Edition?
Drift Attack is a free update to all Forza Horizon 6 players, regardless of which edition of the game you have.
