Q: Can I transfer my custom creations from previous Forza titles into Forza Horizon 6?
A: This depends on the type of creation:
- EventLab: Not transferable, due to the differences in Forza Horizon 6’s world map, as well as significant changes to how EventLab works in this new game.
- Tuning Setups: Not transferable. This decision was made so that we could rebalance all car classes.
- Liveries: Not transferable. This decision was made due to a series of technical changes on our cars, including the introduction of the highly requested ability to paint liveries on car windows.
- Livery Vinyls/Decals CAN be transferred into Forza Horizon 6, and only from Forza Horizon 5, due to technical limitations
Importing Vinyls from Forza Horizon 5
- First, make sure that any vinyls you want to import have been published/shared publicly in Forza Horizon 5. Vinyls set to private/unshared will not be detected by the importing tool.
- Open Forza Horizon 6:
- Enter the Horizon Festival site menu.
- Navigate to Cars > Designs & Paints > Apply Vinyls & Decals > Create Layer > Apply a Vinyl Shape
- Navigate through the tabs of groups all the way to the right (end of the list) and select the tab labeled “My FH5 Vinyls.”
- The first time you do this, press Y on your gamepad, and the game will begin the importing process for your FH5 vinyls; this will happen in the background while you play, and if you exit the editor entirely you will receive a notification in your Message Center when the FH5 import has completed.
- The next time you navigate to this tab within these menus, your shared FH5 vinyls will be displayed and can be selected/added to the layer you’re creating, as desired.
